Welcome to Mirai Shotokan Karate Kenkyukai

Mirai Shotokan Karate Kenkyukai is a traditional karate dojo based in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire.

Mirai (meaning "future" in Japanese) is dedicated to the advancement of traditional Japanese karate techniques and training methods, under the guidance of Sensei Anne Hastings, 6th Dan JKA.

The Mirai Dojo has a family atmosphere, with students aged 5 to 55 plus who come together to train, improve and ultimately to have fun.

Ultimately, the Mirai Dojo has enriched our lives, and we continue to train hard to improve our techniques, to enhance our understanding of karate and self, and to maintain and strengthen the bonds we build with our sensei and our fellow students.
